Found a little entry by ~kahlannightwing on Live Journal. Part of what it contained was some links from mods who had helped to put together the new TOS for dA. And, I believe, was not happy about the result. Here are the three journals concerning this matter (and are rather scary as it seems rights that a person has to their own art can be taken away):
Part 1 --> [link]
Part 2 --> [link]
Part 3 --> [link]
What these journals do, (in her - - kahlan's - - words), is outline the major loopholes as well as legal but immoral things that can happen to your art. The TOS states that you sign over your rights to dA or whoever buys them out I believe.
So, therefore, this dA account shall be used for fanworks only. I will still produce original works. It's just that the only place you will find them is at the Lair (my site) *points upwards to link*
Now I know, I know, what's the chance it'll happen right? I'm pretty sure that my original art isn't quite up to the standards needed for it to be swiped neither am I known by a vast majority of dA users (though, looking at the number of users on dA, I do dount it's ever possible for most people). But, dammit, its my art and dA certainly won't be given the chance to make money from it!
